New Members, King Cracks, and a Season Taking Shape
Pip: The fall season opened with 65 entries on night one — new faces, returning alumni, and a field big enough that the league is already talking about running up past nine seats this season.
Mara: And the energy carried right into week two. The recap captures the final table mood: "Jim Collins sent Jack Feeney out in 7th when his kings held up against tens, and then Jay Capitano did it again in the very next hand, cracking Jack Bittker's kings with ace-king to send him out in 8th."

Mara: Jay Capitano took down week two, with Kevin James and Jason Barnett rounding out the top three. Week three then delivered something even wilder — quads over quads on the river between Ryan Harfouch and Ondrei Ronhaar, and a sub, Dan Johnson filling in for Evan Pantano, ran the final table and won the whole thing.
Pip: Week four belonged to Ryan Harfouch — "Run Good Ryan" — who won outright and vaulted into a share of the league lead. Fifty-four entries built a prize pool with fifteen hundred ninety-five dollars to the winner.
Mara: After four weeks, Harfouch and the Jason Palacios and Cy Frederick team are knotted at 27 points each at the top. Jay Capitano sits just behind at 26. The post puts it plainly: "Four weeks in and it's still anyone's season."

Ryan Harfouch Goes the Distance in Vegas
Pip: The WSOP Main Event recap isn't just a results post — it's an accounting of what it looks like when a league actually sends players to the biggest tournament in the world and one of them goes deep.
Mara: The post covers three players who cashed. Dan Johnson, playing in honor of the late Tom McDonald, battled back from a 25,000-chip low on Day 3 to reach Day 4 and cash for fifteen thousand dollars. Juan Rodriguez, who had already won a WSOP bracelet in the five-thousand-dollar Seniors High Roller that same summer, survived a brutal kings-versus-ace-five cooler and also cashed for fifteen thousand.
Pip: And then there's the third player.
Mara: Ryan Harfouch. He bagged 216,700 on Day 1B, built to 528,500 after Day 2, ground through Day 3 at 526,000, and closed Day 4 with 190,000 — the only Elite Tampa Bay rep to reach Day 5. The post notes he found himself "on a feature table alongside reigning WSOP Player of the Year Shaun Deeb — a nine-time bracelet winner — and held his own in that company."
Pip: That's not a footnote. Holding your own next to a nine-time bracelet winner at the Main Event feature table is the kind of thing you tell people about for a long time.
Mara: He finished 400th out of 9,208 entries and cashed for forty thousand dollars. The post calls it "one of the deepest Main Event runs in league history," and closes by noting that no other league sends this many players to the Main — fifteen Elite Tampa Bay reps made the trip to Vegas this year.
Pip: Fifteen reps, three cashes, one Day 5 appearance. That's a summer.
