Week 5: One-Man Wrecking Crew: Juan Rodriguez Clears Out the Final Table for the Win!
Week 5 is in the books, and what a final table it was! Huge thank you to our subs this week — Don Manns stepping in for Jack Feeney, Ned Wright covering for Saif, and Jacob Naumann sitting in for the Dave B/Steve team. You guys keep this league running! We had another great turnout with 50 entries on the night, and the final table absolutely did not disappoint — big coolers, a cocky call gone wrong, and not one but two major suckouts to close it out. Thanks to Clive for offering to pay for drinks for all! He’s either a team player or just trying to influence action.. Here’s how it went down:

Congrats to Juan Rodriguez, who put on an absolute clinic at the final table — six knockouts on his way to the Week 5 title, including Andra in heads-up! He’s already reminding her she should be thanking him for the assist since she was the short stack for a good part of the final table… we’ll let the two of them sort that one out. Andra has, many times, let people know that she’s a short stack specialist. After 5 weeks, the race at the top just keeps getting tighter: Jason Palacios/Cy Frederick and Ryan Harfouch are still tied atop the leaderboard at 28 points apiece, with Evan Pantano and Jay Capitano/Josh Nicholson right on their heels at 27. This one’s going to come down to the wire. And don’t forget — our WSOP Main Event / WPT Championship fund is sitting at $38,950 season-to-date, so even if you don’t punch your ticket through points, there’s a season-end Last Chance tournament giving everyone a shot at that seat.
