Week 12: Janice Hulbert crushes the competition!

Week 12 of the League was full of exciting poker action.

This was our unexpected Monday makeup night due to a big accident last Thursday blocking access to Derby Lane Halloween night for an extended period of time. We’ll be back again Thursday 11/7 for week 13. As long as no further natural disasters we’ll have this remaining League schedule:

11/4 Monday (make up for 10/31)
11/7 Thursday (normal)
11/11 Monday. (2nd hurricane makeup)
11/14 Thursday (normal)
11/21 Thursday (normal)
11/25 Monday (Thanksgiving wk)
12/5. Thursday (normal)
18 total weeks this season.

Members must play 15 of 18 weeks to qualify. We currently are already at 6 seats with 6 more weeks to go, and there are 84 final table points still available to win so no qualified player is out of it! With 94 points Janice Hulbert leads to way with 24 points between her & 2nd place Team Aaron/Juan. She’s most likely locked up one of the seats. Remember a couple of good finishes can make a huge jump in any players standings!

The evening started with quite a few full house over full house hands causing max pain!

At the outer table Ryan Johnson’s 88> 44 Clive Gavin Full House > Full House! Ouch!

Then Tina Pridgen’s AA bested Ryan’s 66! Another FH>FH

At the feature table Andrazachow’s AK>Will McMillan’s JT with KJT KJ on the board doubling Andra up FH>FH after losing AQ<Mike Robinson’s QQ when he just called her preflop 3bet after he flatted Ray Mancini’s open in an unconventional play for QQ .

At the feature table, Sam Ronalds stayed alive & tripled his short stack when he was all in for 7900, Will jammed about 9700 and Andra went over the top with about 20K. Sam’s 66>Andra AQ>Will’s 77 when Sam flopped his 6.

At the new feature table Ryan Johnson’s A7 held vs Sam’s AK!

Sam’s AJdd was good after Clive jammed the ♦️♦️ flop with 66. Sam missed his nut flush but rivered the J to get the knockout.

Janice Hulbert for the win! Janice is on fire this season and is on track for her Main Event seat! With 6 weeks left, noone is out of the race but the top spot is pretty solid!
