Week 6: Lee Tran gets his 2nd win of the season!
We had lots of subs this week – players are allowed six subs to allow for travel/work or other conflicts. Teams are allowed two subs.
Subs were Dan Johnson for Aaron Thivyanathan, Steve Sass for Ron Grollier, Likang Berninger for Ryan Johnson, and last but certainly not least, our beloved Steve “The Godfather” Trizis for Darryl Woodruff.
In some level one action at the feature table, Gascard raised to 600 and 3 called including the blinds. Mike Robinson led for 1100 on a ten high flop and Mike “Gascard” Collins raised to 5K – the green chip! Mike called. By the river they were both all in and Robinson’s KK dominated Collins’ QQ sending him back to the window.
In another hand David Smith opened & only Clive “The Wanker” Gavin called. David bet every street with Clive calling. Clive then quickly led out all in on the river T pairing the board & potentially giving someone a flush. David tanked awhile and finally flicked in a chip to call. He was good with his pocket Queens & Clive’s J that gave him a single pair was no good.
Right before break Clive was all in short with David, Sean & Jim in the side pot. Sean Carmichael scooped the pot!
At the outer table Steve Trizis was all in on the flop versus his son’s partner, the infamous Gascard! QQ <55

Andra Zachow and Jacob Naumann busted at the same time, Jake with more chips, so Jacob got the 9th Place point.
Mark Winchell was all in and Evan Vancavage called with KK. He faded Mark’s A and Mark was out 8th.
