Week 10: Mancini & McPhillips chop 1st at our half way point! Vancavage still tops the leaderboard!!

Week 10 had 42 entries – if we average 32 entries the rest of the season we would have 9 $10k WSOP Main Event entries for our top 9 finishers!!

At 200/500 Chrissy Holubeck opened 1500, Ed VanLandingham called and Austin Fowler jammed about 7500. Chrissy called and won with her J8 2 pair.

A big double for Hugh Mayes through Shawn OBrien!

A huge double for Mark Winchell vs Mo Maher. Mo flopped his Q but Mark rivered his set of jacks for the double!

At the outer table Todd Rivers was sent home by Don Dean.

David Smith bet his KK and Andra jammed AA & doubled up!

Curtis King was out 9th vs Matt “Matty Ice” McGinnis!

Hugh Mayes was rivered when Ray Mancini hit the higher straight on the river! Hugh was 8th!

David Smith was all in and Billy McPhillips called. No luck for Dave and Billy McPhillips almost doubled!

A double for Matty Ice who flopped a set of queens vs Billy McPhillips!

Matt then jammed 99 but Ray Mancini’s AK Prevailed, Matt McGinnis 6th!

A huge double for Billy McPhillips TT >Don Dean’s J9

Andra hit her flush sending Don Dean out 5th!

Tom McDonald was our 4th place finisher! This finish puts Tom 3rd on the season leaderboard! He was heard muttering “Don’t you know who I am?!”

A HUGE double for Ray Mancini through Billy McPhillips!

Ray Mancini flopped a FH and waited for Andra to river her flush to knock her out 3rd! Her 3rd place this week puts her 2nd on the season leaderboard!!! This is her best season since 2020 when it was canceled due to the plague when she was in 1st place around March of 2020.

In the end it was a Ray Mancini/Billy McPhillips chop! This win gave Mancini a boost into 7th place on the season leaderboard.

No one is running away with it as we’ve seen in past seasons. Tom McDonald is the only player with more than one win as you can see in the above photo. Top finishes whether 1st or third or just decent final table finishes consistently can get you far in the league. No one is out of it as long as they’ve met the attendance requirements. There are 140 first place points left this season!
