Week 5: Old Guys don’t Fold

We had another big turnout this week – the 5th game of the season of our WSOP League – 47 entries and 5 places paid! Rumor has it that WSOP dates will be announced next week!

Local pro Aaron Thivyanathan was there to snap necks & cash Checks!

At the feature table, Duckman’s AA jam after the flop was no good when Mo Maher flopped two pair with 45 on the button. 45 held and Duckman was sent to the rail.

Quad Threes for Ann!

Mo was lucky on the river when David Smith was almost all in except 100 behind on the flop. By the river they both had a FH & chopped.

Todd Rivers opened 2800, Austin Fowler raised to 11k, Todd jammed 14k+ and Austin called. AK>Todd’s QQ for the knockout.

A triple for David Smith and Rafael’s 33 held for the side pot sending Ann to the cash streets

Josh Harrison >Jim Collins

Right before the break Josh Harrison tried a river bluff vs Tom McDonald forgetting old guys never fold 👴🏼. Max pain for Josh.

Ron Groeller’s AK<Tom’s 99 for the knockout

Mo put Karl all in and Karl got his flush on the river crushing MO’s AA!

With one player to go before the final table, Andra, with about 55k opened AQ and Mo jammed A3cc for 25k. Mo hit the 3 to double. Andra had 55 & jammed the next hand with Leo, short stacked calling with A7o. He hit the A. In her final hand Andra jammed her short stack with A6 & Leo woke up with 44 and held. Andra was the bubble.
