Week 8 gave us one of the most dominant final table performances we’ve seen all season! Jay Capitano and Josh Nicholson’s team ran through basically everybody at the end, winning four straight all-ins to close it out. But before we even got to the final table, Rob Fulton was already making moves. Rob seemed to be unbeatable all the way to the final table!
Rob Fulton’s Straight over Ryan Harbouch’s set of Kings
Rob busted Jack B’s sub Will Mitchell on the bubble for piles!

Jay Capitano was the winner this week!
The final table in order of finish was:
Jay Capitano
2.Rob Fulton
3.Aaron Thivyanathan
4.Craig Rice
5.Ned (Tammy)
6.Will McMillan
7.Ray Mancini
8.Dan Goonin
9.Chrissy Holubeck (Clive)
Once we got down to nine, Jay Capitano put on an absolute clinic. Craig Rice’s AT held up over Chrissy Holubeck’s (in for Clive Gavin) AK to open the bubble in 9th, and Will McMillan’s kings sent Dan Goonin out in 8th before Aaron Thivyanathan’s 99 got there over Ray Mancini’s AK in 7th. Will McMillan had the wildest ride of the night — he quadrupled up one hand, looked like he might survive, and then busted the very next level when his JJ ran into Aaron’s AQ for 6th (somebody get that man a W-2G!). Subs held their own all over this final table too – Chrissy Holubeck made it to 9th, Ned Wright went one better and took 5th for Tammy Leonard, and Noel Lablanc and Donald Manns kept Keith Loftus and Stuart Phillips alive earlier in the night. From there it was all Jay: his KQ got there over Ned Wright’s KT for 5th, K7 outran Craig Rice’s JT for 4th, KQ held over Aaron Thivyanathan’s 22 for 3rd, and finally J4 got up over Rob Fulton’s 82 to close it out for the win!
That victory pulls Jay Capitano and Josh Nicholson’s team level with Andra Zachow at the top of the season standings. This thing is a dead heat with ten weeks still to go! Remember, every player who plays or subs in at least 15 of our 18 weeks (including at least 4 of the final 5) still has a shot at a seat in our season-ending Last Chance tournament, with starting chips based on your season points. So keep grinding, every week still matters. See you all at the tables for Week 9!
